Hello everyone, my name is Chris, and I've been practicing Jason's stuff for about five years or so. Before I started looking into Western Esotericism, I was heavily involved in Zen Buddhism, and I practiced that for almost 20 years. During that time, I was swept up in the "New Atheism" craze, but I still felt like I needed to do something "spiritual"; so the Zen was a good fit for me. However, as time went on, I started to feel like I needed something else, and a friend of mine asked if I had ever looked into Western Esotericism- to which I laughed at him and said, "No, why would I?" Next thing I know, I'm going on a Crowley information bender, reading everything I could get my hands on. Eventually, I ended up messing around with Chaos Magick, and slowly dipping my toe into other practices. I was really having trouble with a lot of things, mainly visualization, and then somehow I ended up finding New Hermetics. After that, everything started falling into place, and I never looked back after that. I started the PGM course, and then of course Covid happened and the old site went down. I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things!
